Question from the Web: Do-it-yourself closet organizing systems
We invite our readers to ask us their organizing questions. If we choose to respond to your question on our blog, you’ll receive $5 off your next Harmony At Last online purchase.
Question from Karen:
“My husband and I have bought a house and we want to install shelves, etc to organize our closets. We had a company come and do a custom job at our previous home and we’re going to essentially replicate those systems and put them in ourselves. How do you suggest we proceed?”
Harmony At Last Responds:
Our favorite do-it-yourself closet organizing systems are from ClosetMaid. Their website offers the ability to layout your closet design using their online design tools. You can then print out the parts list from your design and take the list into The Home Depot or Lowe’s. ClosetMaid also offers an online store although we haven’t tried out that option. We found the design tool to be very easy to use and installing the shelving ourselves went very smoothly.
