Who Is Julie?
How It All Began
It was easy to climb up the career ladder and that’s just what Julie Cubino did as a senior engineering manager at IBM. There was only one problem — her proverbial ladder was up against the wrong building. She loved the people management aspects of her job. What she wasn’t passionate about was computer chips. This internal dilemma of achieving success while lacking full passion for her work led to much soul searching.
The culmination of this soul searching was simple. For Julie, success and passion needed to be together in her life work. She also realized that her passion was helping people to overcome their challenges, achieve their goals, and live in harmony.
The year was 2004 and Harmony At Last was born. As you may have guessed, the “Harmony At Last” name actually has two meanings. The first is in Julie’s desire to personally live in harmony and balance. The second is her mission to help others find that same sense of peace and fulfillment on their own journeys.
What Is Julie Really Like?
Can we drop the formality a bit, and I (Julie), just give you a sneak peek into what delights me most in the world?
For myself, God is my true north. The connection to my creator- the one who guides my unique sparkle in the world- is the most profound part of my life.
Two of my favorite quotes (besides the few you’ve found sprinkled in these webpages) are:
"The Kingdom of Heaven is within you." – Luke 17:21 and "You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop." – Rumi
When I began having mystical experiences, I was blown away by the depth of connection, guidance, and wisdom that was shared with me.
My husband, and love of my life, is pretty fantastic. We’ve been together 27 years and counting! (Am I really that old already!?!?) He’s pretty funny. Way funnier than me, though we balance each other out quite well. Someone has to be the “straight man” in the jokes, right?
I have 6 amazing kids- all teens and young adults now- and I may be biased but I believe they are truly the most awesome kids on the planet. Overall, I feel teens are pretty amazing creatures although there are certainly some quirks that I could do without. Our family was created from both adoption and biological. They are all my kids (however they arrived in my heart) and I fully believe that the right souls are always brought together in the perfect way at the perfect time.
I’ve been in the pit or what I also call “the dark night in the soul”. I know that feeling of being totally trapped and wondering if I’d ever survive. Until I healed, I also suffered with anxiety, panic attacks, c-ptsd, and a general sense of hypervigilance. Not going to lie- it sucked.
Besides my family, a few of my favorite things are hot tea with cream and maple syrup, front porch sitting, sunshine, the beach, flip flops (I wear them year round and honestly shoes feel like toe prisons), gardening, running, hanging out with the most fantastic friends a girl could ever ask for, swimming, hikes, tasty organic food, a good book, snuggling my dogs (I would rescue all of the dogs if I could), and finding a little booth in the corner of a coffee shop and just taking a moment to myself.
I’d love to get to know you and help you along on your journey. Reach out- I’m looking forward to it.
